If you’re ready to go beyond the basics, this session is for you. Advanced Search gives you access to a wider range of searchable fields — including specialist options like SEQBANK and CONFLOC — and unlocks Proximity Operators such as PRE/n and W/n, enabling you to build highly targeted, nuanced queries that simply aren’t possible in Basic Search. We’ll also cover how to structure complex searches efficiently, so you get the most out of Scopus without running into timeouts.

This session is best suited to researchers, librarians, and information professionals who are already familiar with Scopus and want to sharpen their search skills.
